This project is about duality.
Landscape photography, as redefined in the 70’s by Lewis Baltz, Robert Adams and the New Topographic movement, has come a long way since Ansel Adams.
The purpose of these images is to analyze the interplay of opposites in the world around me. The images, captured at twilight, portray a pull between the natural and the unnatural, the finite and the infinite, the known and the unknown.
The older I get the more I realize that there is an opposing thought for every impression and ideology, and yet, there is harmony and wholeness in duality.
I’ve contributed to the project almost daily
for nearly two years.
