I accompanied cardiologists from the Mayo clinic as they diagnosed children with Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) in Samoa. The photo, video, and branding assets that I created over the course of four years helped the program get more visibility and secure more funding.
* RHD is a potentially fatal disease which causes inflammation to the heart and its valves. It is preventable, yet it affects over 32 million people worldwide and causes over 200,000 deaths annually (WHO). The Pacific islands are disproportionately affected, and children in Samoa are much more susceptible than others in the Pacific.
